I’m in the midst of an extraordinary *virtual mentoring* process with a young woman in India, right now.
Although I reluctantly agreed to add another *task* to my TO DO list, I agreed to serve as a mentor for the final review of her business plan, as part of her MBA program. She was getting her MBA online, and from the comfort of my home in America, I agreed to mentor her for a short period of time while she completed her program.
The result is that over the course of a few days, communicating only by text messages via her Facebook page and mine, we have been able to exchange ideas and links to news articles and resources that have exploded into a dynamic, major business opportunity for her.
Now I am not only thinking that she will be able to complete a successful business proposal to fulfill the requirements of her MBA program, she will be able to launch a valuable product into a marketplace where there is extreme urgency and need.
It was the shift of focus from creating a baby food product for the upscale organic baby food market into a focus on malnutrition of children and infants that blew the *cork* off this good idea.
Now she is off to save the world, and in the meantime, be awarded a prestigious MBA.
