FAT, Fiber, and Protein: The Food of SuperFit Leaders

FAT, Fiber, and Protein: The Food of SuperFit Leaders

FATS, fiber, and protein. Does 25-50% of your diet include fiber? I hope so. If it’s soft, soluble fiber – then it is the BEST food to feed the probiotics in your colon to retune the risk of colon cancer. Insoluble fiber serves as a “broom” for internal housecleaning. Today, Dr Joel and I had conversations about the aging process and also talked about the importance of getting plenty of OIL and FATS (called lipids) in our daily diet. These include: OMEGA 3 (EPA & DHA) 2 grams a day (which has Vitamin A in it), and the other good oils including OLIVE, avocado, butter, and coconut oil. One final reminder: It’s ALSO important to make sure you have a minimal 2-EGGS per day because the egg white called albumin has the BEST spectrum of amino acids for collegen production. MAKE SURE that you don’t overcook the egg whites – either soft boiled or poached (not more than 3-4 min maximum). # Alexia Parks is Founder and CEO of  Alexia Parks 10 TRAITS Leadership Institute. 10TRAITS Leadership offers the ONLY leadership training program in the world based on 10 traits found in the female brain. Thank You President Barack Obama, Now Let’s Celebrate Women’s Equality Everyday.

Thank You President Barack Obama, Now Let’s Celebrate Women’s Equality Everyday.

Presidential Proclamation — Women’s Equality Day, 2016 WOMEN’S EQUALITY DAY, 2016  – Thanks to the National Women’s History Project and Zonta International for reporting on this new recognition of the importance of reestablishing gender balance at home, at work, in the the workplace, — and the world. “All we are saying is….” restore the balance and dynamic synergy of the male and female, the masculine and feminine in everything we think, say and do. – – – – – – ————————————————————————————————————————– BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA A PROCLAMATION Nearly one century ago, with boundless courage and relentless commitment, dedicated women who had marched, advocated, and organized for the right to cast a vote finally saw their efforts rewarded on August 26, 1920, when the 19th Amendment was certified and the right to vote was secured. In the decades that followed, that precious right has bolstered generations of women and empowered them to stand up, speak out, and steer the country they love in a more equal direction. Today, as we celebrate the anniversary of this hard-won achievement and pay tribute to the trailblazers and suffragists who moved us closer to a more just and prosperous future, we resolve to protect this constitutional right and pledge to continue fighting for equality for women and girls. At every level of society, women are leaders at the forefront of progress. Serving as judges and Members of Congress, setting world records in sports, founding groundbreaking companies, and fighting on the front lines of combat, women continue to tear down barriers and shatter glass ceilings — just as they have done...
A Quick Release Method for Daily TRAUMA

A Quick Release Method for Daily TRAUMA

Here is a simple, powerful TWO STEP method – that can be used anytime and anywhere and is FREE – to reduce stress in the body. First, we know that everyone in the world has had some time of trauma, we’re not alone. For example, think of the trauma experienced by the Syrian refugees and other refugees around the world. So consider these two powerful methods that are free of charge, easy to do anytime, any place, anywhere. Remember: the more you do these two steps – by turning them into a daily habit – the better it is. At 10TRAITS Leadership we use Ellen Langer’s Mindfulness techniques. A Harvard professor, Ellen Langer is the “Mother” of Mindfulness. TO START: Focus like a LASER on your body. Become aware, mindful in the deepest sense, of the signals, feedback, and messages your body is sending you. Why? Because Mother Nature is constantly talking to you through your body. – JUST BEING AWARE of it is the real power of mindfulness. Just becoming aware or mindful of it will undercut and lessen a lot of the trauma. The very AWARENESS of it is a powerful tool.   Since the BODY is the repository of the trauma, then you should choose some type of “body work” – in the broad sense – for release of the trauma. Massage, rolfing, yoga, aerobic exercise, bicycling, jogging, and walking at aerobic levels will all release this energy through the blood vessels. Traumas may be big or small. Either way, and they impact the body on a daily basis. So mindfulness and daily “body work” to release trauma...
Optimum Health: Is Your Body A Second-Class Citizen?

Optimum Health: Is Your Body A Second-Class Citizen?

Dr Joel often wonders aloud: Do people know how to breathe? Do they know how to exercise? Do they know how to feed their body what it really needs? Dr Joel is a medical doctor who hasn’t been sick in more than 40-years, not even a common cold. So when he’s ready to talk about something important, like self-care, I’m eager to listen. “Many people,” he reminds, “are so focused on thinking, creating new ideas, staying on top of the latest breaking news, that they overlook the most important person in their life: themselves.” When we focus on our own body, we elevate it to the status of “personhood.” It is not just something that we use to carry around our 20-pound brain. It is comprised of 40-trillion cells. Trillions of bacteria comprise the Micro Biome that lives in our lower GUT. When we are mindful of the needs of our body, the need to stretch, to relax, to get aerobic…, in other words, when we are mindful in every moment of our body, it will tell us what it needs. In a sense, the trillions of bacteria in our micro biome are our employees!” Treat them and yourself well. The World Needs MORE Women in Leadership, Not More Wars or Revolutions

The World Needs MORE Women in Leadership, Not More Wars or Revolutions

Most of us know at some deep level that it’s time to make a rapid transition away from a world economy based on overconsumption, competition and conflict, to a world based on cooperation, collaboration, and sustainability. And 10TRAITS leadership reminds that whether the cause is protection of the rainforest, the search for climate solutions, or clean drinking water, the fastest way to change directions is to accelerate the empowerment of women into positions of leadership. How many women? Enough to make the...
